The hot spring in the room is nice. Also, it is nice if you book the room where you can see outsde the window from the bathroom. The bad was very comfortable. They also provide a shuttle bus to go to the old street, which is very convenient. We were able to check-in before the original check-in time. Staff did their best, but is not as trained as they probably should be.
The facilities are very different from the pictures. The outside decorative pool for example is not blue, it's green full of algae. The facilities are in general old and a bit neglected. The rooms have zero sound proofing (so if the neighbour decides to take a bath in the night, you will hear everything). We also had problems at the check-in because the payment was duplicated and the staff didn't speak enough English to sort the situation. They are polite and friendly tho. Breakfast was okay. For what is offered, it's not worth the money probably.
The location was up the mountain and from our room we had a wonderful view of Wulai and the surrounding area. There was a nice veranda with table and chairs that was wide enough not to have to put our knees under our chins. The room was clean and all amenities worked. The hot spring tub was plenty wide enough for two people.
Charging for a shuttle into town. The entry area with the shallow pond should be cleaned up because that is one of the first sights. It caused us to question if we had made a mistake booking the hotel.
I liked the breakfast ? the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I had noisy neighbors, I think they had kids that were kicking a ball around in the room next to mine.
You can book a car to drive you from and to the station for free.
